can I show your text to guys at work?
We make parking equipment, & the hassles with low-cost/low-feature stuff causes a bunch of grief (the customer doesn't help much, with a fee of 80c per hour & no change given!).
I'm sure that if we said : yes, you always get a 4x40 LCD, & yes, there is always some kind of change giver, the customer would probably say OK. Also, it would help for inventory, development, after-sales service - you name it!
Hey Rauf, why don't we make a pay-on-foot station with an 8052 inside (I'm sure it would handle the job as well as the 68000 stuff we seem to be stuck with!) - lots of I/O, an LCD, comms, a Real World application! A bit of welding & drilling too!
