The business perspective...

I don't mean to trivialize any plans or expectations but I should point out that the objective to create any such trainer is a very common idea for a business plan among engineers thinking about starting a company. When everyone has the same idea and many before you, its usually an indicator that the business will be very tough and success will be improbable. If I were advising such an entrepreneur, I'd suggest they go back and think about the market niches that they have special knowledge about, and think about a product in that arena.

That's the diplomatic way to say what a two word sentence would impart. :)

I also know a few engineers that made this mistake before (and I don't mean me).

Good luck if you want to start such a project online but realize that not all the gurus here are going to be quick to share their tricks for which people pay them great sums (well at least we think they should pay us great sums :)

Its no secret that I'm a businessman and as such, not the most charitable with my knowledge. I help some in certain areas far from my own market niche (don't ask). I'll say outright that I won't help write a book for free with all my clever algorithms and solutions... Well DUH! Others may think the same but not want to say that outright.

But don't think that's anything new. I already participate lightly in this forum under those conditions and always have. Some young beginners may think that's mean and greedy but that's the way its always been. :)

As a few of us have already written; the only way you really learn the tricks is to suffer through them. Its how you handle designs when they don't work right, that forces your brain to get clever.

As to the complaint about wandering topics... this is our choice and we don't yet have topic police even though some assume the badge. :)
