#66663 - Compiler only - no GUI.
Responding to: ???'s previous message

I've downloaded C compiler from Borland's site, the "Borland C++ compiler v5.5", but it seems that it does not work with XP, right? ... A black screen appears and disappears very quickly.

As I noted earlier (and as it says on the Borland site), the free download is the compiler only - you do not get the IDE for free!

The compiler is a console-mode application; you need to run it from a command prompt.
If you just double-click it from Explorer, it will just briefly open a command window, display a message like "no input file(s) specified", and then close immediately. This is perfectly normal and correct behaviour!
