You're quite correct, of course. I just didn't think that the distinction would be very meaningful to someone just learning C. On the other hand, not making the distinction could easily lay the ground work for future confusions, so maybe it should be pointed out. Still, unless I'm developing software for Windows, I'm avoiding both the Borland and MS Visual packages.
