You can build an interface that is able to receive and send at a different baudrate...

perhaps MAX3110 can solve some of your problems..

1 piece of 'SPI to RS232' running at your baudrate and one standard baudrate of 115200 using the internal serial port of the 8051.

Must be very easy to build, but watch out for buffer overrun from PC to target ...
