#68720 - RE: GAL Programming Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Today I would suggest to use only CPLD with JTAG interface.
Then no programmer was needed, simple connect the 4 JTAG pins to the LPT port. E.g. I use the Xilinx Coolrunners XCR3032 (32 macro cells) ... XCR3512. The are in CMOS and so very less power was needed Also such CPLDs can be chained and so 2 or more CPLDs can be programmed over the same 4 Pins and without removing from the pcb. In a final step the JTAG can be disabled permanently and so nobody can reprogram or steal your IP. Peter |
