why does one need superconductors. Because, as Erik pointed out, at 100,000 A you're looking at a power loss of 10,000W for every micro-ohm resistance! Does your client also supply power plants? ;o) The only feasible way I can think of to even begin measuring such currents is with a Hall-effect sensor. Rob. |
