#68910 - RE: Measuring several thousand Amp Current Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Use the transformer output bus bar as a shunt. Drill and tap two holes in the output bus bar, maybe an inch or two apart. Attach two wires to lugs, and bolt the lugs down to the bus bar. Then use a differential amplifier to measure the voltage between the two wires. Characterize the voltage (IR drop through the bus bar) and use this as your feedback. |
