Greg is correct but I would do some preliminary tests to set the amps / output voltage into the range I need then braze my pick off studs to the selected locations. I would also amplify and isolate the signal before sending it to the processor as these kinds of currents can generate weird voltage transients just due to varing conditions in the weld zone.
