Totally true and excellent questions!
As population of earth increases, resources available per capita decreases and the struggle to win more money (to live more comfortably) become bloodier. In my humble opinion two things can prevent this
1- spirit of humanity and accepting this fact that we all are humans and we are no better than humans that live in africa or china or middle east or europe or...
so we don’t have the right to live better in expense of taking away other human lives.
If we want to live better(that’s the right of every human) we should find solutions to not harm other lives(even if this solutions translates to a little less quality).
animals have a rule : survival of the fittest, when resources are limited only those animals will survive that can win more resources even if they have to kill members of their own species they do that, sometimes very cruelly, But we are humans and we have the ability to think. we have the ability to change our surroundings and resources. If we think in ethical context we can find solutions without having to harm each other.
2-rule of law(both nationally and internationally)
history proves that always there were bad guys, there are bad guys now(hijackers ,those who help hijackers plainly or behind the scenes,...) and there will be bad guys in future(bad guys are few relative to mass population). those bad guys want to cheat and want to win more with less effort even if they have to undermine humanity and even if they have to obey animal rules(I’m referring to both sides).
the only way to prevent those bad guys to ruin life of people(both sides) is rule of law.
