FYI. Altium/Protel wes not long ago feeling the pinch so to speak, and were quite anxious to deal to make a sale. I am certainly not a shill for any software company so I won't presume to recommend any package to you, but if you are about to invest in a high(er) end package, you might want to give Altium a call. Tell them how they pulled the rug out from under you with the software you used to use, and "give them the opportunity to make it up to you." You might be able to get a significant price break (I got Design Explorer 99SE with SP6 for approximately $2k US).
