#71277 - RE: old IAR c compiler Responding to: ???'s previous message |
You might be better off just trying to compile it with a newer compiler, making changes as needed.
I've been using IAR compilers since '96, all Windows-based, and have found that IAR likes to make changes to their compilers that sometimes require you to rewrite some of your code. If you have to rewrite it, you might as well do it for a new compiler. Going to Keil is a little more tedious because of the differences between their respective methods of handling bit variables and SFRs. Do you have the chip-specific header file(s) that you need? I might be able to help you out there. Any idea of the size of code you'll be generating? Small enough to fit in an eval version perhaps? Dennis |
