I do not know how often I have seen a company deciding to do some embedded device and in their ignorance advertise for 'programmers' without any additional specification.
Then a bunch of windows guys descend on a project and the first question is "where is the operating system".

It is my honest opinion that the only reason there is a market for '51 OSes is ignorance.

It is not funny when you look below the hood and find out what the 'RT' in RTOS stand for. It is definitely not REAL real time. I have heard the expression "real enough time", what crud.

I have no objetion to OS and multitasking, but neither has a place on the '51. If you need either, the '51 is the wrong platform.
