#74234 - RE: 16bit ram access Responding to: ???'s previous message |
i need connect (16bit ram) and (16bit harddisk ide) to AVR or 8051
but avr or 8051 is 8bit for the RAM, just connect D8-D15 to greoun and you have a nice 8 bit RAM. For the IDE: In a CPLD latch 8 bits for write, on !WR gate them to D8-D15 of the IDE. For read latch D8-D15 from the IDE in the CPLD on !RD and read them after D0-D7 which were read 'normal' A dramatic suggestion : use a 16 bit processor instead. Erik |
