Plus in almost any application the cost differential between the cheap and the quailty capacitors is a small percentage of the total cost of a circuit board. Often cost of semiconductors alone is 15X or 20X greater than cost of capacitors.

From this it is kind of like those shoe manufacturers that think they save a lot of money by leaving a 30 cent pair of laces out of the box for a $60 pair sport shoes.
