#77325 - RE: Noise Reduction Techniques. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Many good points, but
This should not be a post, but a FAQ addition Some of it is already in the FAQ http://www.8052.com/faq.phtml?FAQ=84 I suggest you edit it and add it to the FAQ 1) isolate the 2 layer stuff to a seaparate FAQ "how to get by with 2 layers if you can not do the right thing and use 4 layers". The mixing of 2 layer stuff in a noise list makes everyone believe that they can get by with 2 layers which is not true. 2) you mix EMI sensitivity and EMI radiation. separate it to two FAQs 3) some of the points such as the first, while good practice, are not related to noise and should be separated to FAQ "Good practices". In all the FAQ entries you should resort "in order of importance" a couple of points where I disagree re 26) why is zinc coating important, I use paint. re 28) NO WAY re 31) the interconnection between the "clean" and "dirty" will pick up much more than the hole since the board behind the LCD has a ground plane.
