Oleg, Prahlad is totally right! Please have a look into any PC: There you will find, that every SCSI or IDE harddisk is connected to motherboard in that way. And those guys must have had a very good reason to do this. Infact, they follow the rule, that every signal line (especially the fast digital ones!) must have its ground return current as close as possible next to it. This forces you to use several ground wires in the flat ribbon cable and to connect them to ground planes on both sides of course!! Kai |
