#77467 - Go to the horses mouth
Responding to: ???'s previous message

Could someone please clarify what exactly is meant by the portion of the statement in quotes?

Shouldn't you be directing that question to National Semiconductor?
You need to know what they meant by it - not what we think they might've meant...!

It would help if you provided a link to the datasheet - so that we could at least see this in context!

I would assume that "synchronous with" means that the two clocks have to be at the same frequency

Why would you assume that?
In general, there is no reason to assume that "synchronous with" means "at the same frequency as" - just that there is some fixed relationship between the signals; eg, positive edges are aligned.

Again, without seeing it in context it's hard to say
