#77471 - RE: Synchronous Clocks Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The datasheet clearly states that the bit clock can be driven from 64kHz to 2.048MHz...it does not have to be tied directly to the master clock (which has to be at 1.536MHz, 1.544MHz, or 2.048MHz). Since I am clocking bits into an 8052, bit periods in the MHz range are a little too high for me to keep up with, much less do anything with the data before the next bit comes. This is why I am looking for a bit period in the 100s of kHz range (and why I simply can't tie the bit clock to the master clock).
