I tried notouch but seemed to have failed

I am just detailing the things I have done

I took a general purpose 8051 board, which basically has all ports on the PCB and reset and max232 circuit

I disabled the Rc reset and gave reset pin to IMP 1232 supervisory chip, I have grounded the strobe in this design to avoid giving timer o/p to it.
1232 setup works properly with 89c51/52 chips too.

Now I connected pin 2.6 & 2.7 to vcc via a 10k resistor

EA/Vpp is conncted to vcc

the I use flashmagic to connecto th board via serial port.
It say "please reduce baudrate,reset uC and try again"

It doesn't erase anything nor programs

I am using a 11.0592 Mhz crystal

i tried a troubleshooting technique mentioned in esscayacademy flashmagic guide,using hypeterminl and checking if U is echoed back. It works.


What is the problem can some explain it to me.
