hi,

i am working on a remote control receiver. details as per http://tparker.customer.netspace.net.au/projects/...ckardbell/. the only difference is i am using an at89c55wd in place of at89c2051.

the stuff works like a charm & i am able to decode all the keys.

the problem is that it works for a max. distance of abt 2-3 ft between the transmitter & receiver. INT0 seems to be loading the receiver signal.

if i remove the microcontoller & check the signal on the scope, i can get the signal for abt 8-10 feet. put back the microcontroller & the signal appears only for abt 2-3feet.

so far i have tried the following with no improvement in results
1. a 74ls07 buffer between the ir receiver & INT0.
2. a common emitter between the ir receiver & INT0.

any suggestions / hints are most welcome.
