Reciever has been replaced once.
Reciever Device number is T1402 from a pixelview playtv pro remote, and works perfectly with lircd (GNU/Linux). I am clueless about it's specs, but is panasonic protocol. The decoder on the playtv is JAECS IRDC 357-m.
IR noise is not the problem as there are no pulses without a key press. did try a 22pf between the ir input & gnd with no difference in performance. Will try the decaps between power pins of micro & post the results.
