Do you use ZERO CROSS switching for your contactors if not then this is one of the major causes of your problem. I think there is some clarification needed. While turning on/off a solid switch is quite possible during zero crossing, the same cannot be said of contactors. Contactors are mechanical elements and have switching times in tens of milliseconds. While you may issue the command duringa zero cross, the contactor is not going to react that fast. I hope I have understood your statement correctly. Raghu |
