I think there is some clarification needed. While turning on/off a solid switch is quite possible during zero crossing, the same cannot be said of contactors. Contactors are mechanical elements and have switching times in tens of milliseconds. While you may issue the command duringa zero cross, the contactor is not going to react that fast. You are absolutely right Raghu. No advantage of using Zero cross switching in Contactor's case. thanks & Regards, Prahlad Puorhit |
