#8115 - RE: Could the chips in computers be salvaged |
Hello,
I have removed 10,000's of chips from boards. Usually it takes about 10 seconds or less per chip of any size. I also salvage all of the other components such as resistors, cap's, and inductors connectors. I reuse them in the products that I sell over the Internet. The people who tell you it isn't worth the trouble to remove them don't know what they are talking about. There is buried gold in the board’s people through away. I would high recommend you start removing components from boards and saving them. It's a great way to start building devices, which you can make a living from. Regards, Charles Bannister |
