#8136 - RE: Could the chips in computers be salvaged |
Mr Charles Bannister
You said "I have removed 10,000's of chips from boards. Usually it takes about 10 seconds or less per chip of any size. I also salvage all of the other components such as resistors, cap's, and inductors connectors. I reuse them in the products that I SELL over the Internet." You the get totally off on the deep end when Jay correctly tell you that that constitutes fraud. What if you got a hold of a board I had thrown out because a part that malfunctioned once a month? your "testing" would show it a good part. I my very young days I salvaged parts (vacuum tubes, resistors, capacitors etc.) and made stuff for my friends, which I recommend all our young hobbyists to do - especially the vacuum tubes :-) - but someone using such parts commercially is below contempt.
