#83558 - I meant ++hundreds of microampere++ Responding to: ???'s previous message |

i have designed some boards before with a pulldown resistor used for an output pin , i.e. to drive a L293D inputs to make a suitable Ioh value with a 10k pull up. is this also a mistake or you can not use strong pulldowns even on outputs? Can you please give a bit more details? I haven't understood what you mean. can you please tell me what range of amperage do you mean ,i just see a ? Sorry, I meant "several hundreds of microamperes". By the way, the current which is delivered by port pin, when pulling down input voltage is also given in the datasheet: 'IIL' is the current, where Vin = 0.45V, means where the weak active pull-up is shurely deactivated and only the very weak active pull-up is activated. You will find IIL <= 50 microA. 'ITL' is the current, where Vin = 2V, means where the weak active pull-up is still activated. (The very weak pull-up is also activated.) You will find ITL <= 650 microA. 'ITL' is called 'transition current'. Kai |
