Dear Arif, Thanks for your response.

there are very few colleges who have very good curriculam also. But if you see an average college you will see 8085, 8255 and 8031/2 type SBC. In my college also thay teach us only 8085 and last year only thay have added 8051.

Thank god I didn't do my graduation in Electronics but in Mechanical. Electronic stuff keeps changing every now and then thats not the case with Mechanical, things that existed 100 years ago are still in wide use even today. Gears, cylinders, Screws etc . nothing will ever get outdated like 8085 or 8255 :-)

But its really sad that a lot of universities and engginering schools still teach the old outdated stuff. Luckily I learnt electronics myself and not through any school. :-)
