#85582 - Hobbyist Magazines
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Talking of which; are there any left? Has anyone seen the latest issue of that great British institution '(Wireless)Electronics World'?

It's turned into another 'Trade Magazine', full of the sort of industry generated PR pap one can read (if so inclined) in the free trade journals. Not a single constructional (or hobbyist) article at all (other than the usually excellent donated 'Circuit Ideas' column). The (new) editor claims lack of interest in such stuff, and a lack of suitable submissions, in any case. She also claims much support for the new format. For her sake, I hope it's true. If it is, I despair.

I suspect it won't remain in business long - and I've just paid for a three-year subscription :( - who's going to pay 3.25gbp for stuff I throw away unread every week?

Are we the only experimenters left??

Dave
