OK Thanks for your help, i will get onto reading that. I am using an 8051 (8031) because thats what i have inposession.
I have looked at the datasheet of my particular uC and seen that the RxD and TxD lines are in port 3 of the uC. It is my belief that when you transmit or receive serial data via the serial port (and a MAX232 chip) it is sent and received via these ports on my particular uC (3.0 and 3.1). Many Thanks S H |
