Unless you're using one of the derivatives with extended addressing modes, the Instruction Set has not changed - everything else depends solely on SFRs. Therefore any compiler/assembler of any vintage that generates 8051 instructions can be used for even the latest, whizziest 8052 derivative. Of course, you will have to define the SFR addreses yourself, but that's all you need. |
