#88331 - a plethora of derivatives Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Assuming that ANY assembler or compiler "understand" ANY SFR name is a faulty assumption.
The "proof" of that being a "faulty assumption" could be that the RD2 and the 668 have SFRs of identical names with different addresses. So, I would, almost, state that the fact that Keil include the "standard" '51 SFR defs is an error. The include of a derivative dependent .h/.inc file should be mandatory. I would guess that the existence of the default defs comes from the olden days when it was known that no more SFRs were ever to be added to the '51 - register that under "famous last words". Erik |
