My feeling was that the stepper being wrongly corrected would end up in a blown L298 ( already did that once , by reversing the diodes ). How/who would the opto isolation protect ? Opto will save your micro, not L297/L298. Imagine if you L297 gets short and your system is wtihout isolation, who is likely to burn next? Your micro.. |
