I allways use the enable pin, high, to hold on the torque of the stepper, also when the driver is not with a L298 in the end-stage, but you must be very carrefully with the current of the motor (you did not specify that ok), like Erik explain ....some times is dangerous. Unless you will not use optocouplers, I suggest, that you NOT use common grounds. You'll avoid ground loops. Regards. |
