#89251 - Definitely suspicious! Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I dredged up the HD44780 specs: taS address setup (RS,R/W) to E is 140nS min tdsw data setup for write to E is 195nS min So the tutorial is showing newbies how to do it wrong! It might work on a slow 8051, but with speedy 8051s proliferating - methinks they'll be trouble a plenty. The tutorial doesn't talk about the need to have delays when using a fast cpu either. |
