#89287 - Good to hear it really worked. ^_^ Responding to: ???'s previous message |

Are you running this only in a simulator or on the real hardware? If it's a simulator, perhaps the simulator is following the 44780 specification to the letter and assuming that the MOV D,#0FFh instruction is executed before the SETB E instruction. If you're running this on real hardware, what microcontroller derivative are you using and what model LCD? Regards, Craig Steiner I run this on a simulator program called Isis. I tried with the 44780 based LCDs. (the model number is LM016L and LM 044L) I re-arranged the SETB E instruction to ensure that data being moved to the data lines before the 1-0 transmission. The bad news is the problem still here unsolved ^_^... But it's good to hear that the code actually work for you, meaning there's something wrong with my simulator, not the code. |
