The issue is that with the resources of the '51 you can not make a true BIOS and without a BIOS an OS can't be but a compromise. Ans who would want a compromise when designing a complex job. I never mentioned using an RTOS. You asked what was wrong with a simple task loop and I told you. I did *not* say use an RTOS. I only said a simple loop is only good for simple applications. Ian |
