The SiLabs C8051F12x series has 128K of FLASH. I would use this in a heartbeat for an application that needs a bit larger code space than 64K. Banking would be a good solution over another processor that had wider adddressing but required the use of an external memory chip.
Agreed, but most ARM derivatives I know of (well, for me you would know it's Philips) have oodles and bunches of internal memory, both Flash and RAM. http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/markets/m...index.html Erik |
