#89976 - many men Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Ian:
I have no intention of starting a C vs ASM war but I have to take issue with the above statement. There is little if anything in the areas of readability and maintainabilty that C provides that is not already there is a good macro assembler. Frieder: Still if people enter your project they like to see something known, which is probably not the assembly library you feel at home with. 1) What is an "assembly library" 2) We used to be umpteen guys working in assembler on the same project (I recall one project with more than 15 guys and gals involved), and with strong enforcing of "de rules" there was no problem regarding readability, maintainabilty and working together. So, Frieder, one man many men, it is still valid what Ian says. I have a feeling that, in your opinion "something known" means C. Erik |
