converting to assembly can postpone the day that you have to move up to a heavier, more expensive processor. you can squeeze more code and throughput in. and upgrading the processor is not always an option. it is not harder than C once you get going with it. if you are stringing together subroutines they could just as well be in assembly as in C. james |
