Actually, this sort of thing can (and does!) trap any inexperienced and/or unwary 'C' programmer - it is not limited to embedded 'C'!

As I said elsewhere I have no intention of starting a language war which is why I have tried to make clear I am speaking only for myself by using phrases like IMHO and 'I prefer'.

No matter what language or hardware you use, there are plenty of traps in embedded systems for both the unwary and experienced alike. I think this forum does an excellent job of providing a range of solutions to them.
