I am really stupid, I shouldn't have written this not trying out again - I don't remember properly what I did and saw half as year ago.
Just tried it again and Bill is right - it IS programming the boot vector to 0FCh (and status byte to 0FFh) after full chip erase. I was confused by the fact that after erasing the boot vector (and status byte) is 00h and not FFh as the rest of the array. This somehow stuck in my mind... It also does some funny stuff if the frequency is not properly set (using hex record type 02), but this is not really relevant here. This is an RD2H part. Jan Waclawek |
