Actually Jan, I looked at two version of the code - one for an early version of the bootcode and one for a later device. Both begin with a "erase SB &BV" command, followed by a full chip erase command. AS it turns out, the full chip erase does also erase the SB & BV so in early versions, it left the SB &BV erased and we depended on FlashMagic to restore it. In later versions of the bootcode, we again reprogrammed the SB & BV after the full chip erase. - Bill
