Somebody gave a "-1 Didn't Search First" vote, but I think it's obvious from his post that Anil has both searched this forum and done some other research:

SO I give a +1 to compensate. The idea of experimenting first with his phone (requiring only a small outlay for the data cable) is also a good one, and again shows that he's putting some effort into this. But the data cable isn't working out - oh well, such is life! In this kind of situation, one is always faced with the question of how far to pursue the experiment, and when to just give it up and move on to the real target. Obtaining proper, detailed technical documentation for consumer goods (eg mobile phones) is often difficult - hence my recommendation is not to bother, and go straight to the real modem. http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=91819 Well, that's my two penn'orth, anyhow. |
