.. that he wants a continuous output, then he can filter the output with an RC or better a monostable to get the continuous signal. The problem is that he need to swich off the signal before to let the filter fall to the "off" condition.

If an square signal is usefull then he must do nothing... for example to drive a AC triac. The triac is swiched on the first time in each semiperiod thus you can use the ale pin directly to do this.
