wood an 8255 i/o port chip be to slow to interface to these hi speed ones. also since they don`t make 8255s anymore. does anyone know if thier is a similar 4 port chip this is faster? Throw your 8255 in thick woods. :) This crap is not at suitable for new designs. Use a CPLD such as XC95xx or a port expander. Regards, Prahlad |
