#95234 - Lotsa misses, few hits
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I've lost track of some of the places I once hit regularly. However, if you seek out the VHDL sites around the globe, you're sure to run into a few of the free IP examples.

The "Free IP.org" site seems to have gone away, but there are CPU cores in many of the VHDL sites, particularly the bigger ones.

I just snag 'em when I see 'em and evaluate 'em later.

There are a few 805x's and quite a few PIC versions, albeit not the same versions as what you find on Microchip's site. These are the older ones and its their cores people are replicating in IP in order to get the speed.

There are a couple of Z80 types, and a couple of the Motorola cores, which are all pretty similar. There's at least one synthesizable 650x core, though for the original's small size and thrift, this one is not terribly fast. From the writeup, I'd say it was really never implemented, just simulated.

If you Google around using VHDL and/or Open Core and maybe a few related terms, you'll find quite a bit of stuff.
