In Hyperterminal->File->Properties->Configure (then Call->Disconnect + Call->Connect if it's Win9x); or via the win control panel (or whatever is that called)?
Also, to rule out problems with the level shift circuit and the cable (YES, the cable! oh how often have I seen intermittent serial because of bad cable...) try shorting pins 2 and 3 _directly_ on the PC's DSUB9 connector. Jan Waclawek |
