#99043 - RE: where do you set speed/parity/etc.
Responding to: ???'s previous message
hi jan. thanks for the quick answer.

when i shorten txd and rxd at the sub-d connector it works perfectly so i want to check the next "stage", the max232. i also tryed to check the wiring with an ohmmeter and i found no errors. the problem is that a lot of characters i type in are coming back ok but a couple of them have errors.

the settings for the hyperterminal are set directly at the hyperterminal. i open the exe. new connection. set name of connection, set com1, set the baud stop and parity and connect. thants it.

any ideas? thanks
richard
