You should get an oscilloscope at this stage and check what you see on the MAX. Just a few thoughts:
- is it a MAX232? - what capacitors are you using (if electrolytics, check polarity according to datasheet) - it can still be bad ground problem on you board... Oh you've surely checked the pump's voltages, haven't you? Just to be sure, could you try an another cable? I have seen cables which tested OK but when slightly bent or stretched, they were intermittent. Jan Waclawek |
